Seminar Therapeutic Side of Art

Objective: To present the therapeutic function of art from the viewpoint of the history of art, the conditions for the art therapy development, its relationship with modern art trends and theories of personality and creativity. Key topics: history of art and art therapy; communication of colours.
The seminar is mandatory for all participants.

Creative workshop Soft Sculpture

Objective: To discover opportunities for the transformation of form and modular combinations during the creation of a sculpture; to use material characteristics of felt and fabric, to use appliqué, dots, felt and other techniques that transform the surface (such as binding, smocking or cutting) for decoration purposes.

Creative workshop Fretwork

Objective: To discover new opportunities offered by traditional graphic art techniques of wood and linocuts.

Creative workshops Table – Painting

Objective: To discuss the most interesting Lithuanian designs of recent years, to discuss the limits of a work of art and a design object, to cross the traditional framework of a work of art and to create a table-painting.

Creative workshop: Bringing the Outside in : Fantastic Landscapes

Objectives: To explore innovative ways to re-interpret the genre of landscape through a contemporary vision using a combination of photography, drawing and painting. To create engaging and unusual visions of landscape and nature that will transform bare walls into places of the imagination. The intention is to discover possibilities for inspiration in the hidden courtyards, squares and green spaces within the city using digital photography. We will explore imaginative ways to combine photographs and other imagery from a variety of sources with reference to elements of composition such as scale and perspective.
