Children's Hospotal at Vilnius University is the largest children's hospital in Lithuania providing secondary and tertiary specialised health care services.
From it's very foundation in 1945, the hospital continuously grew, established new centers and united qualified peadiatric doctors in all fields. Presently, eight centres operate in the two buildings of the hospital, which can simultaneously hospitalise almost 600 children: Paediatrics, Peadiatric Onchomatology, Peadiatric Pulmonology and Allergology, Peadiatric Ortopedic-Tramatology, Peadiatric Surgery, Neonatology, Peadiatric Intensive Care and Anaesthesiology as well as Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology and Ophthalmology. Children's Hospital at Vilnius University is not only the place where complicated surgeries are performed but also the place where specialist consulting is provided to children from all over the country. Each year more than 5,500 patients undergo surgery and more than 90,000 outpatient services are provided at the Hospital.
